But he won't walk, he will ride it out ... for 21 million reasons.
He has seven years remaining on his contract and if Mike Ashley wants him out, he will have to pay up those SEVEN YEARS at an amazing figure of £21m.
Nobody in their right mind would give a manager an eight and a half year deal, and Ashley is a very successful business man, so he would be the last person you would expect to put a noose around his own neck.
The problem with Ashley is that he couldn't give a shit if Newcastle are successful or not.
He has washed his hands of the club, and is happy to let it trundle along at its own pace.
If the fans are upset, I'm sure Ashley will be even more happy!
Alan Pardew: “We’ve had 2,000 travel all this way to watch us.
“We respect that. I’m not going to moan about what they were singing and their feelings.
“I can’t hide from that. It’s six defeats and they’re not happy.
“The only way we can put it right is get ourselves in a position to win the game on Saturday.
“All I know is that when you’re manager of Newcastle, to lose six games is going to bring massive pressure on you.
“I have to accept that, but I still have to focus on my job.
“And my job is to try to get this team in the best possible shape for Saturday.
“I want a top-10 finish, and I want to get that on Saturday.”
