All 2,660 tickets have been snapped up by Geordie fans eager to roar their side on to three points at Carrow Road for one of the longest away days of the season.
Supporters buses will be leaving Tyneside in the early hours believing that Benitez can earn his first win as manager.
And Benitez had a special message to fans making the long trek to East Anglia.
He told the Chronicle: “Our fans have been amazing - I think they will be the same at Norwich, especially away from home.
“If you are going to the game in Norwich it is because you feel the club inside you.
“You feel everything, so you have to do well if you are a player.
“Hopefully they will come back home happy.
“If they do, it means they can start believing we can do this.”
Benitez also hopes he can earn his first win of what supporters hope will be the first of many as Toon boss.
When asked if the trip to Norwich could be the start of some special days for United’s hardcore away following, he said: “Hopefully. If you win you give out the right message and everybody trusts you.
“You don’t want to lose their confidence.
“So we need everybody supporting until the last game against Tottenham.
“Everybody needs to be convinced we can stay up.”
Benitez will be taking charge of his 964th game as a manager as he looks for his first Toon victory.
When asked where it ranked in terms of importance throughout his whole career, Benitez said: “There are too many games to think of, but I’ve had a lot of important games.
“This one is also really important.
“I decided to come here because of the stature of the club and the fans.
“And how important winning is for everybody here.
“I quickly realised what the derby meant to the fans who are behind me.
“I now have even more responsibility to do well and I will try my best because I know it could be a crucial game to give confidence to the everybody.”
