LuaLua is the younger brother of ex-Toon star Lomana and, after battling back from a bad ankle injury this summer, has been restricted to just two substitute appearances so far.
Danny Guthrie and Nicky Butt have ruled out of the Eastlands battle next Wednesday due to injury and suspension respectively.
Kazenga Lua Lua (talking to the Chronicle): "I hope that some good reports go through to the manager ahead of Man City.
"All I can do is try my best in training and in the reserve team.
"You always try to keep on impressing and I hope to get my chance soon. I'd love to be on the bus for that game.
"I know Nicky and Danny can't play in that game and I hope that the game at Man City is my chance.
"It's a great stadium and there are some good players there.
"They have been spending money, but I think that Newcastle can go there and get a result and I want to be part of that."
