Rolando Aarons has returned to Newcastle United following his four-month loan spell at Wycombe. Suggesting he could be thrown in at the deep end, now Steve Bruce is facing his worst injury crisis as a manager.
The 24-year-old played 13 times for the Chairboys and scored twice for the club, which includes getting the winner in a 1-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town at Adams Park back in November.
His last game for the club was against Portsmouth on Boxing Day, where the Chairboys lost 2-0.
In a statement on Twitter, Wanderers said: “Thank you and good luck to Rolando Aarons, whose loan spell from #NUFC comes to an end.
"We hope our paths cross again."
Rob Couhig, who could be taking over the club in the near future said: “Thank you for your contributions to the club’s best start to a League One Season and great, good luck in the future on and off the pitch."
Aarons then said: "Wish you [Wycombe Wanderers] all the best for the rest of the season."
