Hull City are in talks with Newcastle United over signing Rolando Aarons on loan according to a report from Sky Sports.
The 22-year-old winger, who has been capped by the England U20s five times, came to Newcastle after being released by the Bristol City youth system and quickly showed that he was a talent that the Robins would regret letting go of.
But with his talent he has struggled to break into the Newcastle first team, only making six appearances this season with his last one coming in the 1-0 loss to Manchester City at the end of 2017.
And with Aarons not looking likely to make many more appearances for Newcastle this season, Hull are making a move to sign him on loan until the end of the season.
The Tigers are currently in a battle against relegation and could end up getting relegated for a second season in a row if they don’t improve their form soon.
Their head coach Nigel Adkins is looking to use this transfer window to strengthen his squad to make sure that doesn’t happen and is hoping that signing Aarons will help galvanise his side ahead of what will be a tough second half of the season.
One interesting about Aarons is that because he was born in Jamaica before moving to England as a five-year-old he can represent both Jamaica and England international football.
However he has decided that he will pursue a career for England rather than Jamaica and has already played for England U20s.
