It had been expected that the role of Douglas Hall as a non-executive director would come under close scrutiny, but despite one or two awkward questions from supporters he got off fairly lightly.
Chairman Freddy Shepherd dismissed criticism of Hall’s role in running (or if newspaper reports are to be believed not running) the club’s overseas operation, commenting: "I would be surprised if he was in the office because he would not be doing his job if he was sat on his backside in that office.
"If it wasn't for Douglas Hall this business would not be in the position it is today."
It was revealed that Hall is leading negotiations for a commercial tie in with Chinese champions Dalian Shide.
With the team doing so well in recent weeks and the club’s finances improving it was perhaps predictable that the meeting would see few protests.
