Aimar Claims 'Benfica Always My Number One'!

Reports claimed that Kevin Keegan was set to step up his interest in the Real Zaragoza midfielder.

But the player claims, "once Benfica made an offer, there was only one club I was interested in."

Benfica have agreed a fee of €7.5 million (£5.9m) with Zaragoza and Aimar will be officially unveiled on Thursday pending the successful completion of a medical.

Pablo Aimar: "Fortunately, I have always been able to choose where to play in my career.

"I had other offers, but I always wanted Benfica."
