Chairman Paul Duffen is optimistic that the play-off winner's Premier League experience will not be a brief dalliance.
Duffen: "There are three leagues in the Premier League and we think we are more than capable of finishing top of the third one.
"Bolton are the ones we need to look to in terms of the way they built the club, not necessarily the way they played their football.
"Big Sam signed people like Ivan Campo and Jay Jay Okocha and we will need to bring in similar people who can do the job - players who have performed on that sort of stage before."
