Allardyce Heading To Blyth!

Allardyce has signed a three year contact.

Asked about his decision to take a job he apparently did not want in the summer, he said...


Sam Allardyce: "That was all a misunderstanding, that. I'm just glad I'm here now.

"I am very, very pleased indeed. I'm not saying more than that at the moment."

His nine months at Newcastle were not a success, and he got off on the wrong foot saying at the first press conference: "I want to have the same success at Newcastle that I had at Bolton".

And what success was that Sam?

He will be the new manager - in position before Saturday's visit by Stoke.

And he will take Rovers to Blyth Spartans on Monday January 5th for the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
