The bargain buy has so far made just two reserve appearances since his move from Ipswich Town, but with the number of injuries in the squad at the moment he may well get his chance against Birmingham or West Brom.
"I'm desperate to make my debut now. Even if it is just one minute of football, I want to make my introduction," the 19-year-old told The Journal.
"I know I cannot simply expect to walk into the team, but it would be fantastic to be able to get some experience of what it is like to play for Newcastle United before the end of the season.
"Of course I'd like to get more than just a minute, but any experience would be good to take with me into the next campaign. I've only played nine minutes of Premiership football before and that was on my debut for Ipswich against Arsenal at Highbury.
"At the moment I'm still not 100 per cent fit, but I'm getting there. I've played 45 minutes and 90 minutes for the reserves, I scored against Manchester United and it has helped to get those games under my belt.
"Hopefully now I can get a run out in the first team, but if it doesn't happen before this game I'll have all summer to look forward to it."
