Shola played last week at Hartlepool after a frustrating summer on the transfer list, which has so far seen no takers come in for the wantaway striker.
Yet his 19-year-old brother completed his move to Doncaster from Leeds after spending last season on loan at nearby Scunthorpe.
Tomi Ameobi: "It's the first time that I have gone up against Shola. I have been giving him a bit of stick, but I'm looking forward to it.
"I was really surprised when Donny came in. I thought it would be a good opportunity to get out of Leeds and to show Donny fans and the gaffer what I can do.
"My time at Leeds was good. I learnt a lot and there were ups and downs - but Donny is my future."
