Stoke City have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Dwight Gayle this summer to help them bounce back from relegation to the Championship.
Gayle scored 23 goals for Newcastle United in 2016-17 to help them return to the Premier League, while Afobe scored six goals for Wolverhampton Wanderers last season en route to promotion.
According to The Mirror, new Potters boss Gary Rowett is holding a transfer summit this week to step up his spending plans and has identified him as a key target.
Gayle would rather stay in the Premiership, for sure, but would Rafa rather have better quality up front?
