Not in Argentina though ... as a 21-year-old Velez Sarsfield supporter was shot dead on his way to Saturday's derby against San Lorenzo.Emanuel Alvarez's death was announced by Velez vice president Julio Baldomaro Bianchi.
According to the Telam news agency, Alvarez was shot while meeting with other Velez fans next to the training pitch used by Huracan - San Lorenzo's arch-rivals - in the Boedo neighbourhood of Buenos Aires.
The match itself was abandoned just before kick-off when Velez fans tore down a wire fence before invading the pitch and fighting with police.
