Crystal Palace star Andros Townsend is once again the subject of interest from his former club Newcastle United this summer.
And despite recently having an initial enquiry rebuffed by Palace, it is being reported by Chronicle Live that Townsend remains on the radar for Newcastle.
The Eagles ace had a brief spell on Tyneside working with the Spaniard before joining Palace in 2016, and impressed, despite the Magpies being relegated from the Premier League in the 2015-16 season.
He scored four goals in 13 appearances for Newcastle during his short spell with the club, including a winner against Palace in a 1-0 win for the Magpies in April 2016.
He has since made 79 appearances for Palace in two seasons with the club, scoring five goals.
But during his time at Palace, his future has been a subject of speculation in several transfer windows, with reported interest from Newcastle and Leicester City.
And now, Newcastle are once again said to be interested in re-signing the 26-year-old, who has played in 36 Premier League matches for Palace in each of the last two seasons.
