Fabricio Coloccini will miss the clash with the Londoners with a muscle injury, while Steven Taylor is more than doubtful with a groin problem.
Cheick Tiote and Rolando Aarons will also be missing, but United have done well without them in recent games.
Paul Dummett
This is a game Newcastle are expected to win, but Pardew knows the fans won't be on his back as they were at the start of this difficult campaign.
He has earned a break from the banners and abuse that was served up, so the atmosphere will be back to normal.
As for the "new" defence partnership, Dummett has done well in that position although it has never been with "Iron Mike".
It is difficult for the Welsh international, but it is all part of getting experience.
Alan Pardew (talking to the Chronicle): “We have suffered injuries and managed to repair the squad a bit, but are still missing one or two players.
“We have done really well and the mood in the camp is buoyant.
“Our young players deserve a lot of credit, as do our senior guys.
“There will be a bit more expectation on us this weekend than in recent weeks and therefore a different type of hurdle to overcome.”
