Llambias said in his programme notes that the Magpies would have gone into administration without owner Mike Ashley.
But isn't that something we knew already?
Ashley is the owner ... and every owner in the Football League can pull the plug (on their own particular club) if they so wish.
Sir John Hall could have put us into administration ... but he didn't ... and he didn't brag about it.
Llambias says Ashley has spent £36million this season to keep the club on an even keel.
But we always hear when Ashley puts money on the table ... but we never got to know what happened to the dosh received from major transfers last season - Given, Duff, Bassong, Beye, N'Zogbia, Martins, etc.
Nor did we find out what happened to the Premiership payment we were due to get as compensation for relegation.
Llambias wants something done about the "minority who constantly berate Mike Ashley at away games".
So what is he planning? Banning fans for voicing an opinion?
Do you sense ANOTHER ridiculous PR stunt from those two muppets?
Does a leopard ever change its spots?
Is Ashley seriously that DESPERATE to be loved?
Let's look at the facts. He has tried to sell the club twice, and even dropped the price from the market value of allegedly £150m to £100m, because he was that desperate to sell.
Yet Llambias tries to make Ashley come over as though he is doing us all a great favour, when in fact he cannot wait to get into his private helicopter and piss off back to Hertfordshire.
Ashley is NOT a saviour! He is a man trying to get us out of the shit HE put us in.
The first cheque for £100m that arrives on his desk will conclude the deal. We know it ... and Llambias knows it.
So let the life-long fans have their say, because THEY are Newcastle United ... not some fat tosser who wants us all to bow down and kiss his feet.
Three years ago Ashley was a Spurs fan ... something he denied, but the officials at White Hart Lane confirmed he was a season ticket holder there for years ... and he had a private box at the club.
So why shoot the messenger for saying it? Why not admit to it?
If Ashley wants respect he should EARN it ... not threaten the fans who have supported the club through thick and thin.
