Ashley Loses Bottle And Ready To Jump Ship!!!
Ashley is apparently ready to sell just a few months after buying the Magpies for £130m and his representatives approached DIC, offering to sell for £300m, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The Dubai-based consortium were reportedly uninterested at that price and remain committed to buying Liverpool from Americans George Gillett and Tom Hicks.
It now seems that Ashley is serious in his efforts to jump ship.
He took stick for the way he handed the managerial appointment when Allardyce was sacked, offering the job to Harry Redknapp (but when the Portsmouth manager turned down the job), then saying Kevin Keegan was "always our number one choice."
Then he gave Leeds manager Dennis Wise a job (without description), leaving Keegan wondering what the hell was going on.
Allardyce suggested Ashley was a very successful businessman, who had never been shouted out, and he didn't like it when pressure was put on him.
