The Rangers shareholder (and Newcastle United owner) has launched a bid to have chief executive Graham Wallace and director Philip Nash removed from the club's PLC board.

Upsetting Geordies AND Glaswegens? Prepare for "Death Wish 2"

Ashley has made his move just six days after increasing his stake in the Glasgow giants to 8.92 per cent.

The Sports Direct tycoon has now called for an emergency general meeting to vote on his resolutions but the current Rangers board have declared they will fight to save Wallace and Nash's positions.

Having seen the demonstrations and protests at Newcastle with fans wanting him out of the club, Ashley's influence over matters at Ibrox have long concerned the Rangers faithful.

Ibrox (or perhaps the new "Sports Direct Arena")

Ashley bought naming rights to Ibrox from former chief executive Charles Green for just £1, and the fans there are expecting a similar name change to our St James' Park, which was renamed Sports Direct Arena.

His latest move appears to be his next bid for increased power at board room level, and if ever a man has a "death wish" ... it is Ashley!

HATED by Newcastle fans, he is taking a big step into the unknown winding up supporters in Glasgow.

He never travels anywhere with out bodyguards ... and boy will he need them!
