Ashley’s main concern is the sale of season tickets for next season, and with so many threatening to walk away ... he seized the chance to fill the fans full of bullshit.
Ashley opted to speak to Sky 15 minutes before kick-off and said that he would not be selling for “any price” – and would not be leaving until he ended the club’s long wait for a trophy.
“(The fault lies) at my door. I didn’t envisage us being in this position at Christmas,” he said.
“Obviously, after the last couple of weeks I’m still a little bit shocked at where we find ourselves today.
“(But) I will continue the policy of investing in the football club.”
He arrived with a "five year plan for success" ... EIGHT YEARS AGO!
Then ... I repeat ... eight years later he decides it's time to try and win a trophy.
The man defies belief.
