Chris Hughton: “There is money.
“I think it was well highlighted by the statement put out that the club is in a very different place to where it was a few years ago.
“The types of money that this club was able to spend, that’s not the case any more. We have to be careful with the players we’re bringing in that we’re getting value for money.
“But there will be money to spend – and expect players to come in before the start of the season.
“It seems there are a lot of clubs waiting to see some movement and I think you will get a snowball effect from then.
“There’s a small handful of clubs able to pay the top price and the going price. I think the rest of us are looking to see how that develops. But I certainly expect the next few weeks to be a lot busier.”
