Joe Kinnear "will not be missed" after resigning as Newcastle's director of football, according to fans.
But what difference will it make? What exactly did Kinnear do?
He has brought in two loan players that were Pardew targets TWO YEARS AGO!
Oh yes he took the credit for them, as you would expect, but all he did was bring them on short term loans, leaving NUFC no better off in the long term.
I can still picture him at Central Station, sent packing to look at a potential transfer target, with his hand luggage and that dazed look that he always had.
"Where are you off to Joe, looking to sign a player?"
Joe's reply: "Yeah, I'm off to Belgium to check out a guy. I don't know his name, but I've got a photo of him!"
A pat on his head, a ticket in his hand, the little guy sent on a wild goose chase to keep him out of mischief.
And THAT was Joe Kinnear.
On the other hand ... we have Alan Pardew.
The man who causes the REAL damage!
Forget Joe, he never did anything; was never meant to do anything; just plod on in life like a 'brave little trooper'.
We all know Ashley couldn't not give a shit about NUFC, and Pardew just about said those words last summer when the 'Fat Controller' refused to spend in the transfer window.
Pardew said: "Mike is not a football man, he sees it as a business. But he gets upset at the treatment he gets off the fans, and that doesn't sit well sometimes."
So ... at the end of the day ... I'm sure the fault lies with the supporters, as usual.
Bugger me ... we care TOO much.
