Following relegation and a horror season with French club Metz, the 22-year-old defender put his heart and soul into a week-long trial, that included 90 minutes in a pre-season friendly against Doncaster Rovers.

The player hit it off with the fans right from the start and one chant "If No 46 scores we're going on the pitch" had Keegan in fits of laughter.
