He has been struggling with an Achilles problem for the past month and is doubtful for the visit of Hull City to St James's Park on September 13.
Beye: "I need to rest for maybe two or three weeks - my Achilles is a bit sore.
"I can't play at 80 per cent - I need to be 100 per cent. I am having a break now, as I am not going away with my national team.
"It's hard to play a lot of games when you have had a short pre-season. I stopped in pre-season for two-and-a-half weeks. I can't go with my national team, as I can't play all the time.
"After Coventry, my Achilles was very sore. It's why I need to stop. I need to have a break. I hope it will be for just two weeks, but the doctor said maybe three weeks.
"I hope to play against Hull, but maybe I will miss the game and come back afterwards.
"I can't play all the season with this. I have two weeks before Hull City to rest and have treatment on my Achilles, and to find a solution.
"When you draw at Manchester United you think you can have a good game at Arsenal.
"The first goal hurt us. It was harsh to give a penalty. It was a handball, but it was unlucky, as I don't think Charles meant to stop the cross like that. It was unlucky, but that's football.
"We played 120 minutes against Coventry on Tuesday, and again with the same players against Arsenal.
"Arsenal is a big team, and they are in the top four, but we're still disappointed because we want to win all our games."
