Bez came off the bench for Nationwide Conference promotion-chasers Halifax Town as they cruised past Doncaster Rovers in the third round of the FA Trophy at the Shay.
He’s actually been on the Shaymen’s books since the beginning of the season, but his media work has prevented him making an appearance until now.
"It was my first game of the season at a competitive level and I should have scored with my first touch!" the 36-year-old told the Halifax Evening Courier.
"But it was great to come on and to me it makes no difference if it is St James' Park or the Shay. It is still 11 against 11 and I have a job to do.
"I can't go on and stroll about - no one gives me any respect because of where I have played in the past.
"I loved every minute of it and I just wish I had more time to contribute a bit more."
