Gael Bigirimana: “It’s going to be difficult, but that’s why we’ve got to show what Newcastle is all about.
“As individuals, and as a team, we’ve got to show people we want to achieve something – we want to go far.
“We want to make our mark this season, and I believe we can do that.
“It’ll be a tough game at Everton, and we’ll prepare well for it. I’m looking forward to seeing the players back from international duty.
“I’m sure we’ll start getting goals from Demba (Ba) and Papiss (Demba Cisse).
“I just pray to my God that the likes of Ryan Taylor and Danny Simpson – the boys that are injured – won’t be out very long.
“I pray for a quick recovery. We’re a team – that’s what you have to be to achieve something.
“I know that meant a lot to Ryan and his family. I told him I’m praying for him. He will get back soon.”
