N'Zogbia celebrates his 20th birthday this Sunday.
Glenn Roeder: "Charles' time to play for the French Under-21s will come and I think he will go on to play for the French senior team, too.
"He has had a hard three months and now he gets a well-earned break, so I am not overly disappointed from a Newcastle United point of view.
"I am disappointed for Charles, of course, but the fact he gets six weeks off now can only be good for Newcastle.
"He did very well last season for us and he'll come back feeling refreshed.
"The European Championships run until the start of June and I expect France to do well in them.
"But this is not the end for Charles - he will play for France in the future and it is all in front of him.
"We have a tendency to build players up in this country and I don't want to put too much pressure on young players.
"Any player who does well after a dozen Premiership games is suddenly under pressure to perform and when their performance dips from excellent to average they can feel that pressure.
"Charles has had some great media coverage because of his performances and now he can come back fresh for the pre-season."
