Bolton Send Us Rock Bottom!

Sunday's 2-0 victory over Manchester City lifted the Trotters out of the Premier League relegation zone and gave the Lancashire outfit their first home win since the opening day of the season.

Long-serving Ricardo Gardner, scorered Trotters' first goal for five hours and 50 minutes and City skipper Richard Dunne to put through his own goal ... just as he did against Newcastle.

Not that Bolton fans were singing Megson's praises afterwards.

Megson: "The fans react to what they see but they're not going to boo.

"They've seen a team really having a go and to be fair, they see that all the time.

"As I've said before, if they're going to abuse anybody, it's better if I get it.

"They need to support the team and the support in the second half, when we really had that momentum, was as good as you're going to hear.

"One of the senior players said that we needed something to go in off somebody's backside - but you can't rely on that.

"We've not been lucky - we've played really well and we certainly deserved the win."
We stand bottom of the Premiership, but that can all change tonight.

A victory over Villa would see us jump over Spurs, Bolton, West Brom, Fulham, Wigan and the Mackems.
