Bolton hope to step out of Sam Allardyce's shadow on Saturday and face the dawn of a new era.
But I'm sure Allardyce is just as keen to get the Geordie show on the road.
During his eight-year spell as manager had a wonderful relationship with the Bolton fans, and I hope for all concerned they respect what he has done for the club and give him a good reception.
Bolton Success NOT Down To Allardyce?
His return to the Reebok is probably too soon for everyone, and both sides will be patched up and show nothing of what either will be capable of later in the season.
It is the start of something new for both managers, and I'm sure they could have done without this as a Premiership opener.
However Nolan, who was reported in some newspapers back in June to have been a target for Newcastle, is keen for the club to move on now Sammy Lee is in charge.

Nolan: "There are still a lot of the squad here who worked under Sam.
"We want to prove that Bolton's success was not just about him but about the players.
"Although Sam is a great manager and been fantastic for Bolton, people have given him a lot more credit than the team.
"I have read all the stuff about how he has worked wonders with has-beens but I have never agreed with that.
"We have always had a strong squad here and this season it is stronger than ever.
"We had a feeling that as soon as Sam joined Newcastle we would get them in the first game.
"It will be a bit strange, a bit weird to see him in the opposition dug-out.
"But Sam's return is a side issue for the players. The first day is always special and we must focus on getting off to a great start."
