It has been widely reported that the former West Ham, Leeds and Charlton midfielder is set to sign a five-year contract in the very near future, with the BBC describing it as a "done deal".
But it appears that we aren’t the only club interested, with a spokesman for the player’s management company claiming: "At the moment, Lee is in talks with a couple of clubs."
The club has refused to comment on the stories, other than to confirm that he hasn’t yet signed.
"Our policy remains that we will only comment if and when we sign a player, but until such time we have nothing more to say," said a spokesman.
