We all know Titus Bramble has moments of madness. We know it ... and so does Graeme Souness ... as the Toon manager has taken the defender aside for "a word in the ear" more times than he's blamed the referee for a Newcastle defeat. Yes ... THAT many times!
So today's rant about Brambles problems of concentration is nothing we - or Titus - have not heard before.
Graeme Souness: "Titus has to have a close look at himself. Titus Bramble was our best defender for 89 minutes against Aston Villa, but he made a stupid and reckless tackle in the last minute which might have lost us the game.
"He must learn to cut those mistakes out and I was cursing him when the penalty was awarded. Thankfully they missed the penalty so maybe my luck is changing for the better."
So, with Steve Taylor back for the Arsenal fixture, Souness can make up his own mind who to pair in the centre of defence.
