The Sun says "Chris Hughton has put recruitment plans in place for next season, with the return of Titus Bramble high on his list.
"Newcastle are favourites to get back into the top flight and boss Hughton is also keen on Bramble's Wigan team-mate Ben Watson."
Bramble was given away to Wigan by Sam Allardyce in 2007 on a free transfer.
The report that "Hughton values the 28-year-old's experience and would welcome him back" ... are well wide of the mark.
