Cort is at Brentford these days ... but admits his days look numbered.
The former Newcastle frontman hasn’t started a league game for five months, although he was still handed a new four-month contract in January to tie him to the Bees until the end of the season.
But the 32-year-old has been limited to just nine sub appearances since then, and was left to warm the bench in this week’s victories over Leyton Orient and Oldham after the arrival of Lewis Grabban from Millwall.
Carl Cort: "I wouldn’t expect to get a new deal the way things are going.
"The gaffer’s always looked at other options first, so you could say he doesn’t fancy me.
"I’m not in a situation where I can do anything about that. I’m not having a pop, that’s just how it is.
"I’m not going to go in and knock on his door. He knows what I’m capable of doing. I’ll just try and stay fit and hopefully get a good run of games.
"I’m there when he needs me."
