Bruce has stated that "I'm happy and I want to continue the job I started here and see it through”, but in the past he has been more than happy to stay on at clubs only to jump ship when a bigger and more exciting offer appears - for example, swapping jobs with Francis at newly-promoted Crystal Palace.
Although Bruce is a Geordie he isn’t highly regarded by some Newcastle fans with the feeling that Bruce only plays his Geordie card when he needs it most.
I think there might just be a few more Bruce to Newcastle rumours to appear throughout the coming season, and he would certainly strengthen our defence! Voice your opinions on the messageboard.
