The Sun reports "England's boss will make the long trip to Newcastle to watch Owen against Blackburn.
"The last time Capello watched Owen — in the 3-0 defeat at Arsenal on August 30 — he was not impressed and left the striker out of his squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Croatia.

"Now the former Liverpool and Real Madrid marksman faces a fresh make-or-break 'trial' as Capello is likely to be at another game when Newcstle travel to Everton on October 5."
Apparently Owen's performance against Blackburn will decide whether or not he will feature in the Italian's plans for England against Kazakhstan and Belarus next month.
But Owen has an up-hill task. Not only because the club - and team - are in turmoil, but because Capello has never been Owen's No 1 fan.
Although the England manager insisted the door remains open to a player with a superb record of 40 goals in 89 England appearances, the chemistry between the pair has never been compatible.
With an unequalled England record of 26 strikes in competitive matches, you would think Owen has the sort of pedigree that Capello needs.
Even more so with the fact England have no recognisable alternative as an out-and-out goal-getter.
Capello likes to play 4-5-1 with a big front man who can hold up the ball, but Owen has been playing behind the front two at Newcastle for six months now, and seems an obvious choice.
Owen is not a battering ram, he simply does not have the build to 'mix it' on his own.
But he provides a lot more options than the likes of Emile Heskey, who's goals tally is hardly up there with the best.
The fact remains, Owen seems on a hiding to nothing, and he will have to do something remarkable to impress a man who seems to be looking for any excuse NOT to pick him.
