The England manager draws comparison between Owen and Italy's Antonio Cassano, who is seen as the hero of Italian football in some quarters ... but not good enough for the World Cup squad in the eyes of others.
Fabio Capello: "The Italian national team has never fascinated me like the English one.
"My torment is Owen. With [Marcelo] Lippi (Italy's head coach) it's [Antonio] Cassano."
Capello also says cheating is viewed by the Italians as "good" but the English believe it should be done away with.
Fabio Capello: "It's the ultras who rule in Serie A. There is no courage to apply the laws against them.
"In Italy the divers are praised and receive prizes – in England they are jeered."
