Carlisle's Gary Madine was born in Gateshead, but ended up at Carlisle.The 17-year-old has starred in the Cumbrians' FA YOuth Cup run, helping them knock our Manchester United, and has just signed a professional contract.
Madine, a first year YTS player, has made the substitutes' bench for the first team.
The Cumbrians are on course for promotion to the Championship, and a 1-0 win at Crewe last night (Tuesday) took them to second place.
But Madine was not included in the squad.
