Andy Carroll: “I’ve got good memories of scoring against Blackpool and hopefully that can continue.
“It’ll still be a tough game as they’re a good team and are doing well.
“But we’re doing well too, so hopefully we do what we need to do and get the three points.
“The first time we played them, I scored just after my daughter was born.
“She was born the day before we played at Blackpool.
“I shouldn’t have really travelled that day because I had been up the night before – but I asked the gaffer and he let me.
“We were beaten, so it wasn’t the greatest day in football terms, but I managed to get one for my daughter.
“But I did get that goal and that was what got the ball rolling for me in terms of goals.
“I have had a bad ankle for a while now, a couple of seasons really.
“I just rocked it in training and it swelled right up.
“I played against Wolves and it swelled up again. I couldn’t really move after the Wolves game which meant I missed out with England, which I was devastated about.
“I trained on Thursday for the first time and it was fine, so we’ll see how it is.”
