John Carver: "I think that the manager has already said that we have to add to that squad, the important thing is that we have five or six first-team players in Holland with our reserve team who couldn't get into the country.
"One or two of our lads are coming back from injury so we felt it was a must that they got some training under their belt before they actually played any games so we felt it wasn't worth bringing them out here because we weren't sure if they could take part in any of the games.
"The squad has been built up but yeah we do need one or two additions but there is still some way to go before the season starts."
The club face two more friendlies during their tour or America, with Orlando City and Columbus Crew set to face the Premier League side before Newcastle visit Leeds United and Fiorentina before the host Arsenal on the opening day of the Premier League season.
