With some Newcastle fans suggesting we should show our feelings towards Mike Ashley and Joe Kinnear at Wednesday's testimonial for Steve Harper, perhaps the actions of those Celtic supporters(?) show us "charity" games are not the time or place.
We all know of the IRA links to Parkhead, and John Terry was booed because he was England's former skipper and Carlos Cuellar because of his time at Ibrox.
This brings into question Paolo Di Canio's appearance in Harper's testimonial on Wednesday.
The guy wants to play - and why shouldn't he - but I know for a fact there will be many in black and white ready to give him both barrels when he shows his face.
Perhaps these tweets say it all ...
John Terry was booed at Petrov’s Charity Match, He was one of the first people to message Petrov after his illness. Very low.

The Celtic fans are booing Cuellar and John Terry. They are an unbelievably classless bunch. Given the occasion. They’re pathetic.

Even a former Rangers player Carlos Cuellar getting booed less than John Terry. :) #19

Celtic fans boo Terry for being English when a lot of them would kill a guy based on his religious beliefs.

Cuellar donated £11,000 at the charity auction last night… And these Celtic fans are booing him.
