As we reported at the weekend, it was so encouraging to see Marlon Harewood go to visit Shay Given in hospital after that clash at Upton Park ... and all sides come away with credit ... Newcastle, West Ham, the players and the managers.
Unlike the fracas that is going on between Chelsea and Reading.
Didier Drogba claims the challenge that left Petr Cech seriously injured in hospital was no accident, and the situation is going to get worse before it gets better. Cech required surgery on his skull after colliding with Stephen Hunt in the opening seconds of Chelsea's 1-0 Premiership win at Reading on Saturday.
Jose Mourinho was scathing in his criticism of Hunt in the immediate aftermath of the incident, and now Drogba has followed suit.
Drogba: "Not at all. I'm also a forward and you don't need to tell me that story. It was not an accident. He clearly saw that he was going to hit Petr, who had the ball in his hands for two or three seconds and still he didn't pull out his leg.
"The worst is what happened afterwards. After he saw, like everybody else, Petr exiting on a stretcher, he began to laugh and act all arrogant.
"I'm not the paranoid type, but it seems that everybody's out to get Chelsea. For certain people, doing anything seems okay in order to beat us. When you see what happened at Reading, there are big questions to be asked."
