Chelsea Put Johnson In The 'Bargain Bin'

Sam Allardyce asked about the defender last week and deal was thought to be on the cards, but the clubs could not agree a fee and Sam started to look elsewhere.
Now, with just hours left for a deal, the Blues are willing to drop the price. But is anyone interested?
52-year-old Allardyce will concentrate his efforts on strengthening his first-team squad when he returns to work this morning. Arrivals are understood to be imminent. Faye has undergone a medical in the North-East and Magpies officials were last night awaiting the results.
Beye is expected to join his compatriot at St James's Park after Marseille were persuaded to sanction the Senegalese's departure.
But will Sam be tempted by the Chelsea player? Or will he have the funds?
Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has admitted there could be transfer activity within the club before the summer window closes - but it is likely to be an exit rather than the arrival of another big name.
Speculation about a possible move for Barcelona's Brazil superstar Ronaldinho has been quashed by Kenyon, speaking at the UEFA Champions League draw in Monaco.
He did concede, though, that defender Glen Johnson could be on his way out of the club.
Johnson spent last season on loan at Portsmouth and has seen extra competition for the right-back spot in the shape of Juliano Belletti who has arrived from Barcelona.
Kenyon said: "Our (buying) plans are complete but there may be a couple of players leaving.
"That will become evident within the next 24 hours. Glen may be one of those who is looking to move on."
