Chopra Would Rather Be In Black And White!
He is on the spot, and I cannot help but wonder what he would do if he scored against the side he has supported since a kid.
Lee Clark scored against Newcastle twice as a Fulham player, but did not celebrate either goal. And I think he would have crawled into a hole if he had done it as a Sunderland player.
But Alan Shearer has warned Newcastle that their old boy (Michael Chopra) will hit the goal trail again sooner rather than later, and he fears it could be Saturday.
Shearer: "After a great start the goals have dried up for him, but it hasn't been the first and it won't be the last time for him in his career.
"He is on a sticky spell in front of goal, but what I have noticed is that his work-rate has not dropped, which is important.
"He has probably played a lot of games out on the right when they have played that 4-5-1 system, which is not his ideal position.
"But the goals will come back for him - not on Saturday, though.
"He has done really well. There were one or two after him when Sunderland signed him and they did well to get him.
"One or two eyebrows were raised at the fee they paid for him, but he is certainly justifying that, not that he has to. He is scoring some important goals.
"He looks a handful. He puts himself around, works very, very hard, and he has got the goals his performances are warranting."
