When asked if the Magpies will be relegated, Hughton said: “I always think that they’ll find a way.
"They have been prepared to spend in this [transfer] window, as they did in the summer.
"So I think they’ll find a way. The problem that they’ll always have is that it’s about winning games, but if you’ve got the teams around you also capable of winning games, then you’ve got to win more.
"I think they’ve got the manager to do that [secure survival].”
