Leon Best is the player stepping into Demba Ba's boots to shoot us to European qualification now that the Toon GOALden Boy is in Africa for a month.
But Best has taken stick from Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni for being "lazy" and having only one style of play.
Giovanni Trapattoni: "He doesn't get around the pitch like the other striker options I have. He is an old fashioned type of centre-forward."
But Newcastle's new striker - Papiss Demba Cissé - is set to give Premiership defenders a tough time ... according to his old manager.
Rudi Raschke, Freiburg’s general manager: “Newcastle have got a jewel.
"From the moment he arrived at Freiburg he was happy and scoring goals. We have never had a player like him.
“He is quick and his movement is incredible.
"He does not need time to think about scoring, it’s natural to him.
"Defenders always struggle to know where he is.
“He finished second top scorer in Germany last season behind [Mario] Gomez at Bayern Munich and he [Gomez] is a €30 million player.”
