The Toon striker did not train on Wednesday (and the players were handed a day off on Thursday) and now Alan Pardew has rated Cisse as “doubtful” for the trip to White Hart Lane.
Pardew must also check on the fitness of Manu Riviere and Cheick Tiote but Paul Dummett has been passed fit.
Newcastle’s Ryan Taylor is back in the squad for the first time since 2012.
