The Toon will meet either Lillestrom of Norway or ZK Zeljeznicar from Bosnia in the two-legged tie.
The first leg, due to be played in Norway or Bosnia according to whichever of the two sides win through from the second qualifying round is due to be played on 13th or 14th of August.
The first leg of that particular match takes place tonight in Norway, with the second leg being played next Wednesday.
No TV company has yet come in to cover the tie, meaning United could miss out on valuable Tv money.
Manchester United's tie will be broadcast live on the BBC, although they have not made a bid for Newcastle's game.
