Fabricio Coloccini: “Every derby has a different history. Now we have to write another piece of history for Newcastle United.
“I enjoy playing in derbies.
“It’s one of the most important games in the season. We seem to play well in the big games this season.
“I enjoy the competitiveness, and in the week leading up to the game the people talk to you about how important it is.
"But I’d prefer it if it would help you to lose that and win seven or eight games. I prefer what’s best for Newcastle United.
“It will be really difficult but every game is difficult.
“We have good players and a good team. I think it’s going to be a good game.
“I’ve played in games like that (Stevenage) before but it was a very difficult, hard game.
“They played really well and maybe we didn’t, maybe there were some distractions. But now we have to think about the Premier League.
“I wouldn’t say there was one thing in particular (which distracted Newcastle) but maybe our concentration wasn’t as good as it should have been.
“I was disappointed with the effort shown by the team. But now we are out of the Cup so we have to pick up points in the league.”
