Fabricio Coloccini: “The song, phew, I cannot believe it. When I heard it for the first time I thought my team-mates were making a joke.
“Someone said to me in the dressing room, ‘do you know what they are saying?’ I said no, I had no idea.
“I had not even heard a song at the time. I thought they were making a joke on me, but then I listened in the next game and I just started to laugh on the pitch. It is very funny, but a great honour.
“I really appreciate it. I mean, they are offering to let me sleep with their wives, how can I not be honoured by this?
“No, no, I will not do that, I am married, but it is nice to get the offer!
“In that song they gave me more confidence than any manager has achieved. I will always give my all for them because of this song, it is unbelievable and it makes me so happy.
“I knew then I would always love this football club. When I tell people back home about it, they cannot believe it.
“ I have two kids, Tiago and Augustina, so maybe I will stay in England or somewhere in Europe.
“She is seven and he is four and they love Newcastle. Argentina is not very safe for them, I would have to worry about their security.
“They speak better English than me, my daughter is fluent, she is much better than me, she helps teach me now.
“My son is a little bit less as he had a problem when he was a small baby. He had a fit, a convulsion and it affected the part of the brain that deals with speech, but he is a lot better now.
“It was hard for them in that first year as well because when we came here they were put into a school and did not speak English.
“Now my daughter has English friends and plays with them so she is happy and that makes me settled.”
