Newcastle will need to pay out at least £10.5m to sign Jeison Murillo.
According to a report of talkSPORT Inter Milan have slapped that price tag on the defender who is under contract until until 2020.
Murillo has been a regular in the Inter defence all season attracting interest from England and Germany with Newcastle the latest club to cast an eye over the Columbian internationalist.
Rafa Benitez is looking to strengthen every area of his promotion winning squad with the steady defensive attributes of Murillo appealing to the former Inter boss.
After agreeing to a budget plan following talks with Mike Ashley the onus is now on Benitez to make Newcastle competitive again in the Premier League.
At £10.5m Murillo would be a mid-price signing with Benitez looking to recruit early to hit the ground running next season with a team ready to compete in the top half of the table.
