According to the Chronicle: "Bob Moncur has called for the Toon Army to get right behind the 11 players selected for duty against Hull City on Saturday".
But I think there are a couple of more pressing items on their agenda ... and if Moncur is as passionate about the future of Newcastle United (as I am sure he is) ... it is time for HIM to back the FANS!
Come On Bob Moncur - Get Behind The FANS!
Moncur: "There is no point in boycotting the match. We still have a reputation as the best fans in the country in a lot of people's eyes who are respected in football.
"And there has never been a better time to show the rest of the country that against Hull City.
"We have to forget about personalities for the minute and put the club and the 11 players who will play against Hull first.
"The most important thing is for the powers that be to get the club on a level playing field again following the aftermath.
"In my 40-year association with the club I have seen people come and go and the club has always stayed standing in one shape or form.
"I have to say that the sooner they get themselves sorted out the better.
"But we have to be United during the matches.
"It's clear that the whole structure of the club is changing.
"Mike Ashley is presumably looking at the continental style system and whoever comes in will have to work with Dennis Wise.
"Kevin has gone now, sadly. But it is clear the world of football is changing.
"In days gone by Sir Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger would have called the shots but now it is about trying to work together.
"The game has become a business and the owner of United has been trying to make that business work to a profit."
